If you look in the government section of your phone book, you will notice that there are quite a few hotlines set up, most of them toll free, to answer questions about specific health care issues. There are AIDS hotlines, STD hotlines, and many more for all kinds of medical care issues. On other end of those hotlines are counselors who are skilled in answering questions in order to educate and help people fell better about the health care issues they are worried about. Just remember that the counselors are not medical care providers so it is usually a good idea to see a doctor before you make any medical care decisions.
Search The Internet
If you want, you can always look online for answers to your medical care issues. There are many forums and answer boards with people who are dealing with all kinds of issues. Chances are that there’s a forum out there filled with people who are going through what you’re going through. It’s helpful to hear from these people so that you know that you’re not alone. Just do an internet search describing your health issues and you will likely find websites and forums galore that will answer any questions that you may have.
The point is to remember that you’re not alone, no matter what your health issues may be. There’s always someone out there going through exactly what you’re going through so you need to find those people so that you don’t panic and so that you can get the medical care you need for all of your health issues.
