Autism
I was walking past a medical centre this mnorning and they were having seminar on Autism in child.I beleive that i should sheare with you these few key points on how to spot autism in your child.
Autism is a psychiatric disorder of childhood characterized by marked deficits in communication and social interaction, preoccupation with fantasy, language impairment, and abnormal behavior, such as repetitive acts and excessive attachment to certain objects. It is usually associated with intellectual impairment.
Medical Profesionals /Researches believe you can pick signs of autism in a baby just under 4 months of age. Here are some signs that may indicate your baby should have a developmental evaluation, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
At 3 months =
- She doesn’t respond to loud noises or follow moving objects with her eyes.
- She doesn’t grasp and hold objects or smile at people.
- She doesn’t babble or pay attention to new faces.
At 7 Months=
- She doesn’t turn her head to locate where sounds are coming from.
- She shows no affection for you or makes any sound
- She doesn’t try to attract attention through actions.
- She doesn’t have any interest in games such as peekaboo.

- She doesn’t speak more than 15 words.
- She doesn’t seem to know the function of common household objects, such as a telephone, fork, and spoon.

Having an autistic child is not an easy responsibility and it takes a lot of LOVE and patience .Detecting it early saves time and effort .It helps to make you understand your child’s restriction.
The above are mainly opinion based.at the end of the day, should you suspect that your child is suffering from all the above’do get a professional advise to confirm .
My prayers and respect goes out to all parents in this world with an autistic child whom have laboured LOVE and time and kindness in understanding their child.
